Who can see my health information?
In Estonia, health information is gathered to the Health Information System, where your prescriptions and medical records are accessible to the health care professionals that provide services to you. The Health Portal enables you to view your data in the Health Information System. You may restrict your health data if you wish. In that case, health care professionals no longer have access to your health information and the quality of medical care may be impaired, especially in emergency situations.

I'm living abroad and my healt certificate expires soon. Could the foreign doctor give me a new healt sertificate, which will be valid in Estonia?
Unfortunately, health certificates issued by foreign doctors are not valid in Estonia because foreign doctors do not have access to the Estonian Health Info System and the Transport Board does not accept health certificates on paper. In order to obtain a certificate, a health declaration must be filled in on the Health Portal. Health declaration can be filled in while abroad and is valid for 30 days. After this, you need to make an appointment with a doctor working in Estonia to undergo an inspection and receive the health certificate.
