Dental prosthesis compensation
Prosthetic compensation is non-monetary – it is deducted from the dental care bill at the time of payment.
The following persons are entitled to prosthetic compensation
- pensioners,
- persons with partial or no working capacity,
- persons over 63 years of age,
if they have valid health insurance.
Important to know!
The prosthesis allowance is €260 for three years.
The allowance can only be used with Health Insurance Fund contract partners.

Calculation of prosthesis compensation
The three-year period begins on the day you use the benefit for the first time. You are entitled to a new benefit after the three-year period has ended. The unused portion of the benefit does not carry over to the next period.
Example:
Marta's dentures, costing €200, were completed on May 7, 2023. There is €60 left over, which Marta can use until May 7, 2026. The unused portion will not be carried over to the next period.
You can check the amount of your compensation and the balance on the Health Portal under the "Dental Health" service or on the state portal eesti.ee under the "Dental Care and Prosthetics Services Information" service.
