Remote services in specialized medical care
Remote consultations and therapy allow you to communicate with a doctor, nurse, or therapist by phone, video, or online chat.
Remote services allow you to get the help you need faster and more conveniently without having to go to a medical facility.
The option of remote consultation or therapy is offered to you by a healthcare professional, taking into account the nature of your health concerns and the technological possibilities. You decide whether you agree to remote services or wish to visit a doctor's office.
If you agree to remote service, you can agree on a suitable time and method (telephone, video, or online chat) with the service provider. If necessary, the service provider will send you instructions, such as a link to the video environment, and tell you how to prepare for the remote appointment.

When can remote service be used?
The Health Insurance Fund will pay for remote consultations or therapy if they take place as repeat visits (the doctor calls you back) or if you are referred to the service by another healthcare professional.
Remote services are only offered if they provide the same quality of care as an on-site consultation. In each case, the specialist will decide whether remote services are a suitable option for you.
If your health concerns need to be assessed through a physical examination, you will not be able to use remote services.
